Coastal Vacation Rentals encourages guests to seek out and purchase travel insurance products from reputable sources if they are concerned about cancellation costs. We will hold firm to our cancellation policy under all circumstances.

If you did not book directly from Coastal Vacation Rentals, please refer back to where you made your reservation for the cancellation policy that applies to your reservation.

We reserve the option to cancel your reservation if your payment is not received when due. We will always try to reach you for payment before canceling.

In accordance with California law, all short term rental (a period of 29 nights or fewer) reservations booked on or after 7/1/2024 receive a 24 hour grace period where they may cancel for free, if the reservation is made at least 72 hours in advance of the arrival.

Should you wish to cancel a reservation, notice of cancellation must be received in writing by Coastal Vacation Rentals at least thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled arrival date. We will refund the sums you paid less a $250.00 cancellation fee and the non-refundable booking fee, plus tax.

If you should give notice of cancellation less than thirty (30) days, but more than fourteen (14) days, prior to arrival date we will refund the sums you have paid less the security deposit and non-refundable booking fee, plus tax.

If you should give notice of cancellation fourteen (14) days or less prior to arrival date we will refund the sums you have paid less the full rent and non-refundable booking fee, plus tax.

For all tax-exempt stays, a minimum of thirty (30) days notice is required to shorten the length of the stay. These policies only apply to those renting under our Tenant Vacation Rental Agreement and who reserved directly through Coastal Vacation Rentals. If you did not book directly from Coastal Vacation Rentals, please refer back to where you made your reservation for the cancellation policy that applies to your reservation. 

Unfortunately, vacation rentals are NOT suitable venues for organized events such as weddings, graduation parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc. 

If you feel your plans are small enough in scope that it would be no different than a typical guest stay, we welcome you to inquire with us and we will assist as best as we can in finding a property suited to your plans. If you don't discuss plans with us in advance we are obligated to follow-through with our policies and penalize guests who violate the terms of the rental agreement. 

 

Some properties are on keyless entry, you will be notified in advance if you are in a property with keyless entry.

 

For keyed properties, keys are picked up at and returned to the Coastal Vacation Rentals Office located at 354 Main Street Suite A Pismo Beach, CA 93449

Check-in is scheduled to be 4:00PM or later on your arrival date.


Early arrivals can't always be accommodated.

 

 Directions

Heading South on 101, take the Pismo Beach/HWY 1 exit (Dolliver), proceed on Dolliver (HWY 1) to Main Street, turn left.


Heading North on 101, take the Price Street exit, proceed on Price Street (stay in the right hand lane) to Main Street, turn left.


Please note: The public parking lots near our office are paid parking from 10AM-6PM, and the parking along Price Street has a time limit.


Please feel free to use our parking place, only use the handicap space if you have the need. Street parking in the same block as our office is free.

 

After Hours Arrivals

Your keys will automatically be placed in the lock-box on your check-in date if you have not yet arrived when we close the office.

The code you need to access the lock-box is located in your rental agreement.

Reservations through Coastal Vacation Rentals

When you make your reservation online with us (You got the best deal on that rental, great job!) your reservation request is sent to our team for review. If you reserve with us over the phone (You still got the best rate!) we'll review those details with you right then.

Next, one of our friendly staff will reach out to you by phone to verify the details of your stay and credit card information.

If your stay is more than 30 days from the date you book your reservation just the amount of the security deposit and reservation fee, plus tax, is due.

If your stay is less than 30 days from the date you book your reservation the full amount of the rental including deposits, fees, and taxes is due.

Online through a Different Site

If you reserved one of our properties on another website or through another service, it's usually best to contact us through that platform so we can best assist you as each platform is a little different from the others. 

Phone Reservations through Coastal Vacation Rentals

During the phone conversation with one of our friendly reservationists you should receive an e-mailed receipt for your payment.

After the call, a second e-mail will arrive with a document for you to sign and return.

We do our utmost to keep all of the property descriptions accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that everything is always accurate. If you have a question about a specific property or amenity we will always find out the answer for you and if something is missing or damaged we will diligently pursue a repair or replacement with the property owner's guidance. Rates, fees, availability, and minimum stay requirements are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation with a complete refund of all monies paid.
