"We’ve stayed in the adjacent unit several times and have always loved this spot. Consistently clean and well managed, great views and just all-around a favorite. Being over the market, it does tend to be a bit noisy, due to early morning opening, and the crowd hanging out at the tables in the ally during the day. This side is generally a little noisier than the north/west unit, we think. "

"This rental is in the most perfect setting! You are across the parking lot from Avila, so you have a perfect view of the beach and the pier. The furniture was very nice and the bathroom looks newly renovated. Everything is very clean!! You are right on top of the shops of Avila beach. I would highly recommend!!"

"Our family vacation was filled with relaxed fun, sunny days, al fresco meals on the patio, and oceanfront views. The condo was clean and updated. Perfect for a family of four. Great oceanfront spot. Morning walks on the beach and evening strolls through town. This location was ideal and no car was needed the entire week of our vacation. Listening to the ocean and feeling the breezes from our flat all day and night made Avila Beach the perfect small town to reset, refresh, and slow down. The town shops and restaurants close early which aligns with the sleepy village vibe. Get creative with family fun ideas when staying in town. The crowds are small and folks are friendly, ice cream and shaved ice appear everywhere and surf rentals with boogie boards are easy to find. Not a big party town which is perfect for kids. Definitely a family spot for all ages including grandparents.

"I've been staying here for a month each year for several years now and always love my stay! This year was especially fabulous due to all of the wonderful upgrades they made throughout the entire condo. We spend most of our time on the patio people watching but when we do tear ourselves away from the fabulous view of the beach, the condo is well stocked, comfy and perfect for our month long stay each year. The location can't be beat, it has everything anyone could need (especially love the new super warm blankets for sitting outside on the patio first thing in the morning), and the management company is fabulous helping out with any issues that might arise!"

"We had such a wonderful vacation! The condo was immaculate, the kitchen well stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils we needed to make all of our meals. What could be better than starting the day with coffee on the balcony looking right out at the ocean then heading to the beach (just steps away)? Coming back to the condo for a little reading and a short nap (drifted off to the sound of the waves) and then sipping Sangria while playing board games (again on the balcony)! We did manage to tear ourselves away one evening for a bonfire on the beach - just a short drive to Grover Beach for that - but really, we just never wanted to leave."

"We've stayed at 9 other condos or hotels in Avila over the years. This was front street, so was great to have the ocean view. the condo was ok. but that's as good as I can say. Many little things made our stay less than ideal, although we would book again. Just know that it's not turn key, noise from the market that you are above starts early and when its hot, and windows are open, you will hear it. I love all the places we've rented from coastal but this one seemed neglected. broken window knobs, back door lock issues, bbq not clean, and a few other small things that say this is a rental. Again, we are pretty forgiving and would still return, but knowing what to expect is good. one parking spot. two flights of stairs were no issue, just didnt expect it. "

"We a wonderful experience. So nice to have morning coffee on the deck watching the waves and beach goers. The place was very nicely decorated and clean. It was the perfect base for us for graduation weekend. We walked on the Bob Jones trail in the mornings and sipped wine on the deck in the evenings. There is some noise from the restaurant below, but it wasn't much of a bother for us. The staff were extremely helpful. "

"My wife and I spent 3 nights in this lovely condo overlooking beautiful Avila Beach. The reservation was easily made by phone, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I received a phone call advising us that the unit was ready a little early, along with the gate and key box codes. The unit itself is wonderfully located with a stunning view of the beach; you will love the sunsets! It was sparklingly clean and seems to have been recently painted. It’s well stocked, tastefully decorated and had a wonderful balcony with BBQ. Though you enter the parking area from the other side of the block, there is an alley on the left side of the unit, at the level of the stair landing, that will allow you to walk directly out to Front St. I definitely recommend this unit, but there are a few things you should know:
1. There are two flights of steep stairs you must climb to get to the unit. You should consider this if you have mobility issues, and think about how much you want to bring, as you will have to carry everything up.
2. No cable or local TV; streaming only. If you don’t have streaming accounts, you’re pretty much out of luck. This might not be a big deal to everyone, but we were there Super Bowl Sunday, and had to scramble to be able to watch the game. At this price, they should have cable.
3. There are no instructions for the thermostat. I know...how hard can that be? We never could get the heater to run all weekend.

As I’ve said, I still recommend this unit. I only list these things so you go into a rental with as much information as possible. Only you can decide whether they should influence your decision. "

"As always, the Condo and location were Great!
One complaint though, the Patio area each time I’ve come to stay, is Dirty! The walls around the Barbecue are splashed with food and grease as is sometimes the Grill as well.. The Floor looks always dirtier than the time before. It needs a good scrub at least after a couple renters. Also, the table and chairs never get used. A couple Loungers and small table would make much better use of that Beautiful area in my opinion. Hope this info is helpful in making this Location even Better! Thanks again, JKallunki "

"In May my family of four enjoyed one week in Avila Beach at this property. The view is stunning, and the location was perfect. We woke up to fresh air and the sound of seagulls. We took invigorating walks on the beach in the early morning before the crowds set in. Our vacation was prior to the holiday and summer rush and it felt as if we had the entire town to ourselves.
The unit design lends itself to a surprisingly private patio for sunbathing and al fresco meals. The evening sunsets from the deck were brilliant and we could hear the ocean at night ...putting us to sleep with calming waves.
We had all the conveniences and were only a few steps to the beach and stores. We also had the safety of social distancing we were looking for. Simply, we never needed to leave our private beach front unit and still enjoyed everything Avila Beach has to offer.
The management team were extremely helpful and available to answer our questions anytime we called. The unit is well kept. We hope to return later in the season.

"Although during our stay the country closed down due to Covid19 it was a relaxing place to watch the world slow down to a grinding stop. This is my 4th year staying here for the Month of March and I was as happy as ever. My biggest joy was finding that they have a fabulous new grill on the deck. The kitchen is well set up for cooking all of our meals there which was great since all the restaurants were closed (but the wonderful market/deli right underneath us remained opened which was nice). We sadly cut our trip short because we were afraid planes would stop flying by the end of our month there but we are looking forward to getting back to your little piece of paradise again next year!"

Great Condo, Beautiful Town

"This condo sits front and center on the beautiful ocean in the town of Avila. What an amazing view!!! Loved waking up to the sound of waves and watching small town living right below us. Our deck sitting over the Market below provided a delightly view. Sunsets were extraordinay! Avila is a delightful small town with a friendly coastal vibe, cool shops, and plenty of nearby places of interest. The beach is amazing. It's the perfect size for walks and relaxing in the warm sun. This 2BR, 2 Bath unit had everything we needed. As I sat comfortably in the living room, my friend cooked a lot for her son who attends nearby CalPoly U and the kitchen was well equiped for every meal. We grilled a couple times on the very nice gas grill too. The beds were very comfortable and the baths had nice modern showers and baths. Towels were quality as were the bed linens. The condo is in a safe, gated community with a private parking space. Enjoyed every minute of our time here. It was fun to walk around Avila and to explore fantastic nearby San Luis Obispo and the central California coast from our Avila base. Highly recommend!"

The refrigeraton unit from the store below ran 24-7! Also, there was construction with loud sawing, hammering, and drilling going on. The managment co was quick to respond and give us a $50 gift card."

"We stayed two nights at this location over the weekend. It was a perfect spot for my husband and 2 year old son. It has a beautiful view and we loved falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. It is right about above a market and restaurant which is so convenient! Got a little noisy during opening and closing times and when you walk out it’s near the garbage but we didn’t mind. Look forward to coming back! "

It was fun to see nice upgrades from last years stay; new bed & dresser in the guest room, several new lamps throughout. I love a vacation rental that keeps itself updated and this little gem overlooking the beach does just that. After staying in at least 6 other places in Avila throughout the past 15 years this is our "Spot"from now on...love it! "

"My daughter goes to school nearby so her sister and farther and I met her in Avila beach and stayed at this great rental. Very up to date and roomy. Slept 4 easily and close to great restaurants, walking hiking and across the street from the beach! Wonderful. The family has decided to make this stay an annual event! The management company was so good to work with! "

"The biggest complaint I have, that could very likely keep me from renting this unit again is that the (2) small beds in the second bedroom are HORRIBLY hard & noisy. Even the lady who works downstairs at the market asked me about it. She had the same experience and said she would never stay again and she was there for FREE!
The frame creeks every time you move. Our backs hurt the rest of the trip.
The main bedroom bed was good. TV size is also very small in livingroom, but this would not keep me from coming back.
Beautiful view, very clean, well stocked.
